Welcome back everyone to another episode of The Damage Report. I am John, I had a role and

at least for the beginning part of this episode, I'm going to be running solo, but we do

hopefully have a pair of awesome guests going to be joining us a little bit later on in the show.

We're going to have the return of Kara Eastman who's running a congressional candidate in Nebraska.

We're going to be talking about the midterms generally, the Democrats strategy.

Are they focusing on the issues? There's a lot of debate about exactly how they should be

selling themselves as a party. She is a great example of this approach because of course she is a

strong progressive. As you saw last week when she was on the program, we're going to be talking more

about the issues that she is focusing her campaign around and some of the fairly vicious

and dishonest attacks coming from the other side against her. We're also hoping to be joined by

the nations, Jamie Kippman, who did a great report on toxic flame retardants, which if that sounds

like a sort of esoteric weird thing to talk about, you should know that they have been found

literally everywhere on earth, these flame retardants. They have been found in the blubber of

whales in the Arctic. They've been found in the dust in classrooms in China. They are everywhere

and they're absolutely horrendous for your health. So we're going to be talking about those

retardants and also why is it that they have been allowed to get everywhere in the world?

It actually comes back to our government, our lack of regulation. So we're going to be talking
