Good evening everyone welcome to the readout and we begin tonight with

major breaking news a bombshell ruling from the Colorado Supreme Court in

just the last hour states that Donald Trump is disqualified from holding the

office of president and from appearing on the Republican primary ballot in that

state. In a more than 200 page ruling the court found that Trump is ineligible for the White House under section 3 of the 14th amendment to the US Constitution.

The court found that the district court was correct in its early ruling calling the January 6th attack on the capital and insurrection and that Trump, quote, engaged in that insurrection through his personal actions.

The court noted, we do not reach these conclusions lightly.

We are mindful of the magnitude and weight of the questions now before us.

We are likewise mindful of our solemn duty to apply the

law without fear or favor and without being swayed by public reaction to the decisions

that the law mandates we reach. This frankly stunning
