It has been a very bad stretch for Donald Trump, the Trump regime, and their legal cases.

From immigration setbacks to personal humiliation, the legal blows just keep coming.

And in Donald's personal life, the biggest loss recently came in a case he's clearly most desperate to keep buried.

The one, E. Jean Carroll won against him, or I should say, the two, E.G. and Carol won against him.

A federal appeals court just rejected Donald's latest attempt to make the American people pay his legal bills.

I know it shouldn't be unbelievable. We shouldn't say it's unbelievable because it's Donald Trump,

but this is a particularly grotesque abuse of power because Donald tried to get the Justice

Department to take over his defense of that case, arguing that his 2019 defamation of Eugene Carroll was somehow part of his official duties as president.

But luckily, the Second Circuit wasn't buying it.

The three-judge panel shut Donald down with a single-page order.

No lengthy explanation, just a promise to publish

their reasoning later. But the message was loud and clear. They didn't need a lot of words

to reject Donald's, again, abuse of power here. That means that Donald's who currently owes E.G. and Carol, $83 million plus

carried interest over time for publicly defaming her and for having been found to have sexually

assaulted her will have to pay for his own appeal. There are no legal loopholes here and no taxpayers

will be bailing him out. These are the consequences of his actions as a private citizen.

Here's the kicker. This ruling came the very same week that E. Jean released her new memoir,

not my type, one Woman versus the President,

recounting her journey from that 1996 Bergdorf-Gurdman dressing room to the courtroom

where she held Donald Trump accountable not once but twice.

The timing is basically a bit of poetic justice.
