President Donald Trump has closed the U.S.-Mexico border to migrants seeking asylum in the U.S.

With the suspension of refugee admissions in the works, there are few, if any, avenues available to people resettling in the U.S.

Migrants like Venezuelan, Jenny Blanco, who had been waiting for their entry appointments,

are now effectively stranded.

I don't know what I will do.

I don't, because what will Mexico give me while I wait for a response from the U.S.?

There is no response from the U.S.

Mexico is not helping.

Trump's borders are at Tom Holman says, quote, targeted enforcement operations by immigration

agents are already happening. And the administration says federal immigration authorities will be

allowed to arrest people and carry out enforcement actions in and near places such as churches

and schools. However, human rights advocates say Trump's executive orders won't stop migrants from illegally

crossing the U.S. southern border.

This comes as 24 Democrat-led states and cities are challenging Trump's bid to end birthright citizenship.

The lawsuits allege Trump's order violates the 14th Amendment, which gives children American

citizenship if they were born in the U.S.

The American Civil Liberties Union and immigration vice groups brought similar lawsuits targeting Trump's order.

CNN has reached out to the White House and Justice Department for comment.

After signing a flurry of executive actions Monday, today President Trump announced a $500 billion

investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure.

It will ensure the future of technology.
