Donald Trump called Iran's response to America's proposal to end the war, totally unacceptable.

Few details of Iran's reply have been released, but it reportedly focused on ending hostilities within the region and ensuring safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran apparently did not offer negotiations on its nuclear

program at this stage. Ukraine and Russia accuse each other of breaking a three-day ceasefire.

The American broker-truse began on Saturday. Ukraine said that Russian strikes had killed one person.

Russia accused Ukraine of wounding several people in the Hurason region of

Ukraine, which it occupies. Earlier, Russia's president, Vladimir Putin, said he believed that the war

is coming to an end. Sardio Ramco, the world's biggest oil company, said its profits

rose to $33.6 billion in the first quarter of 2026, up 26% year-on-year.

The firm has been pumping as much as 7 million barrels of oil per day through its East-West pipeline,

allowing it to export via Saudi Arabia's West Coast, even as war has gummed up flows going through the Strait of Hummuse.
