Summary

Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report gives his predictions on the first presidential debate between President Donald Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. The debate will be at Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio and moderated by Chris Wallace. It is early in the day and there have already been demands from the Trump campaign for third party inspectors to look for electronic devices or transmitters in candidates' ears. Meanwhile the Biden campaign has requested breaks every 30 minutes. Dave also shares his feelings on law enforcement and a video of some police officers being questioned about masks by a helpful (Karen) citizen.

All right, people. I'm hitting tweet. And that means we're alive. This is the Ruben Report, direct message for September 29th, 2020.

0:18.0

And I got to tell you, people, I'm feeling good about the world because the first presidential debate is tonight. If it's going to actually happen, I'm still 50-50 on that.

0:29.0

Because Lord only knows what will happen over the next couple of hours. But, yes, assuming nothing crazy happens. There is going to be a debate tonight. Obviously, I'm going to spend most of the time today with some predictions, some thoughts.

0:43.0

We'll talk about Trump's taxes. We'll talk about the fact that in the last hour or so, the Biden people asked for two breaks. They wanted two breaks at half hour points in the debate.

0:56.0

And apparently a few days ago, he agreed to be checked for an earpiece. Now they're going back on that. I mean, just more theater. Like there's no business like show business folks. It's just, it's going to be bananas. It's going to be wild. You can already see the ground being laid for if you like Biden.

1:15.0

And why he's going to win. And if you like Trump, why he's going to win in the rest of it. So we're going to spend most of our time talking about that. And I did want to do one other quick story because one of the things that I told you when we started this thing was that I want to do the things that are sort of culturally relevant and not just keep you in the weeds on all the political stuff of the day.

1:38.0

And this clip, you know, I try not to tweet on the weekends as you guys know and actually a whole bunch of you have started joining me in that adventure, which is pretty great. And I think it really helps with sanity and clarity.

1:50.0

And just distancing yourself from the endless reaction to everything. So it's been great that so many of you do that. So I try not to tweet on the weekends. And actually I didn't tweet yesterday either because it was young Kapoor, which is the holiest day in the in the Jewish year.

2:05.0

That is when you tone for your sins. Obviously I'm a man with no sin, but you know, I was there anyway, how to how to bagel. And here we are. But a video did come across to me this morning that was posted, I guess, on Twitter over the weekend. And it was on originally on TikTok, which it's a little unclear to me whether TikTok is still a thing or is it legal or is it illegal or Trump said he was getting rid of it. And there's a lawsuit to keep it.

2:31.0

And it's a whole big mess. But whatever you think about TikTok and the Chinese government spying on our children through apps that go viral and that whole thing, there was a really interesting video. It's about 50 seconds. We're going to show it to you in just a sec of a young person, a young guy, think it's a guy.

2:49.0

It sounds like a guy, a young guy going up to two cops in New York City subway station and then taping the interaction and presumably, presumably posting it because they think they came off looking good and that the cops came off looking bad. And I want to show you this. And then we'll talk about it after.

3:08.0

But I wanted to show you this because I think people don't realize really have any insight into what police officer is not just in New York City, although I think it's a particular brand of this New York City.

3:22.0

But all over the country are dealing with on a day-to-day basis and sort of these self-righteous people that just get in their face all day long and try to push them over the edge. So let's throw to the clip.

3:34.0

If I don't wear a mask, it's not wet. What? This is the final part just made with you guys. I'm just curious.

3:42.0

We got to make states that as long as you can maintain six feet distance, you don't have to run the bus.

3:48.0

But you want to step within six feet of me, I'll gladly throw out the mask. Also, would you like to do that?

3:53.0

I mean, I feel like you guys are within less than six feet of each other.

3:56.0

You're the one that approach us. So would you take six feet away from us?

3:59.0

I'm six feet away from us. Okay, now we're six feet away. You're not the better man.

4:03.0

I mean, you should probably go on a mask or in a global pandemic.

4:06.0

You're the person that calls someone, you don't want to meet someone selling waterblood on the streets.

4:10.0

You're the person that calls them. That's what you want. All right, Karen, you're like male version of Karen.
