Colorado's Supreme Court ruled that Donald Trump is ineligible to run for president again and cannot appear on the state's primary ballot.

The extraordinary decision, which Mr Trump is sure to appeal to America's Supreme Court,

is the first to disqualify the former president based on a provision in the 14th Amendment barring insurrectionists from holding office.

Similar lawsuits have been filed in nearly 30 states.

The Colorado Court's decision will not take effect until January 4th

to accommodate appeals.

America established a new maritime force to secure the Red Sea, a vital artery for world trade.

Ships from America and more than a dozen other

countries will protect commercial vessels sailing through the waterway and

conduct joint patrols. Nine countries publicly committed to the coalition.

Others have reportedly signed on quietly.

In the last week, the Huthies, an Iran-backed militant group based in Yemen have stepped up drone attacks on merchant

shipping traversing the sea, triggering a spike in energy prices.

Several companies, including BP and Meersk, said they would reroute their ships

to go around the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa instead. The UN Security Council agreed to gradually withdraw peacekeeping forces from the Democratic Republic of Congo,
