What is the stake currently in Ukraine, in the independence of the European country, Russia is invaded?

He spoke by phone yesterday, first to Russian President Vladimir Putin, and then to Volodymy

Zelensky, the president of Ukraine.

Separately, the U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegsef said in Brussels that Ukraine should not expect

NATO membership, and that a return to Ukraine's

pre-2014 borders is unrealistic, meaning Russia can essentially keep Crimea and the one-fifth

of Ukraine it's seized since invading.
