And we are such losers that we planned our entire Friday and Friday night around a press conference having to do with the president of Russia and the president of the United

States. We thought this was going to be must-see television, wanted to have a cocktail in hand.

It was definitely past five o'clock where we were. And boy, have we been let down. Welcome to this

episode of Amy and T.J. Roe. It's kind of weird to say, but we

absolutely, as we were recording this, we planned the day and a Friday evening. This is a really

big day for us. We have very early mornings all week. Friday is a big deal. We wanted to watch

this press conference because we said earlier this is must-see television.

Not only is it history in the making.

You've got the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, meeting with on American soil in Alaska,

meeting with the president of the United States amid this war with Ukraine and pursuing pieces in the backdrop.

And this is a moment where we may get a huge announcement about a ceasefire.

At least that's what President Trump was touting.

You have journalists from all around the world waiting on the edge of their seats for these two powerful men,

two of the most powerful men in the world to walk out and this joint pet press conference. And how long did it last?

10 minutes, 11 minutes, something like that.

This is the big fat dud in terms of newsworthiness. And I say that because, yes, the biggest

goal, I mean, really, from a news, world, and humanitarian standpoint,

there was potential these two could walk out and say that this war has killed untold thousands

or the past three and a half years is over.
