Just a week ago, Elon Musk was in the Oval Office for his fond farewell from President Donald

Trump as he finished his work with the federal government. Now, they seemed to be going through a very

public and very messy breakup, as what started out as an argument over Trump's domestic policy bill quickly

turned personal.

People leave my administration, and then at some point they miss it so badly, and some

of them embrace it and some of them actually become hostile.

I don't know what it is.

It's sort of Trump derangement syndrome. In a post on X yesterday afternoon, Musk alleged that Trump was named on the Epstein files

without providing any evidence to back up his claim. The White House described his comments

as an unfortunate episode. Trump has threatened to terminate all government contracts with

Musk's companies, with the

spat sending Tesla shares tumbling yesterday.

SpaceX could also be at risk if Trump makes good on his threats, because it makes a lot of

its money through government contracts.
