0:46.0	Today Tuesday is primary day in Nevada, but my understanding Kim is that
0:51.8	Mickey Haley will be on the ballot and Donald Trump will not.
0:54.7	Donald Trump supporters will be asked to come out a little bit later this week for the Nevada
0:59.8	Caucus. So maybe the first place to start is how did we get into this confusing situation?
1:05.0	Yeah and it is a long and sorted tale and by the way has really undermined
1:10.6	Nevada's proud claim first in the west. It's actually first and second in the
1:15.4	west and in its own state this year. The background here is that Nevada after
1:20.1	decades of very sparsely attended caucuses decided its legislature, decided in
1:27.8	2021 that it was going to pass a law requiring a primary hoping to get turnout
1:32.1	up and voter engagement back in terms of
1:34.8	primary competitions. So they passed that and then win more than a dozen
1:38.9	candidates filed for the 2024 Republican presidential election officials scheduled the primary or today.
