Hey, welcome to Politics by Fay. Thanks for being here. I want to play for you here,

the latest TV show we did on the election. And how on the, not issues, talking about issues

all the time, but on the ground, what does Trump need to do and the RNC need to do to get people

to vote and count to vote accurately? We got to Vivek Vamu Swami, Sean Spicer, and Trump's main spokesperson.

So before we do this, because this has nothing to do with faith inherently, right?

There's no religious angle to it.

But there is.

I want to lead off with a friendly reminder that God is in control of

everything. We're not looking for a savior. We already have one. We're not looking for a pastor.

Hopefully you have one of those well. So while talking about elections can be inevitably

or invariably stressful.

We should always have that peace that God is in control of everything.

And he picks our leaders.

And there's a role for us to play in being a good citizen in the country that God put us in.

Of course, you got the ones we all know, Romans 13, let every person be subject to governing authorities.

There's no authority except from God and those that exist have been instituted by God.

Okay, that's pretty clear.

We are commanded to pray for our leaders.

First Timothy 2, first of all then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people,

for kings and all who are in high positions were commanded to pray for our leaders.

There's an interesting line in Jeremiah, and I know I just quoted Jeremiah the other day

about how things are taken out of context, so I'm aware, but there's a section of Jeremiah,
