Job chapter 28 verses 20 through 28 from where then does wisdom come

and where is the place of understanding it is hidden from the eyes of

all living and concealed from the birds of the air abedon and death say we have heard a

rumor of it with our ears God understands the way to it and he knows its place for he

looks to the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens when he

gave to the wind its weight and app portion in the waters by measure when he made a decree for the

rain and away for the lightning of the thunder.

Then he saw it and declared it.

He established it and searched it out and he said to man,

behold the fear of the Lord that is wisdom and to turn away from evil is

understanding.

Ah, this is one of my favorite chapters

in all the Old Testament and specifically

in the Book of Job.

And it's why the Book of Job is classified as wisdom literature in the Bible because at the heart of this book is a quest for wisdom and understanding before God,

specifically in Job's life amidst all the suffering

and evil of this world.

Why is this happening? And here in Jove 28 we are reminded that when we wonder why

we can trust that God is wise.
