Now Ezekiel is in Babylon

during the time of these prophecies.

But the spirit of God transports him

back to Jerusalem. And there he sees things that are transpiring in Jerusalem.

Now, as a background, there are some Jewish zealots who are still in Jerusalem, who have rebelled

against Nebuchaneseur,

and they are thinking that they are going to be successful in their rebellion.
