All right, let us dive into this story, which is of a Dominican who greatly desired to die for Christ and was granted this wish.

Peter was born at Verona, Italy in 1205.

Both of his parents were Manichaeans, so followers of the heresy that denied that God created the material world.

So their belief is that there were two infinite beings, if you will, and one created the spiritual

realm, which was the good being, and then another infinite being created all that is material,

Regardless of this, Peter was educated at a Catholic school.
