Where we take a look back at a case that has captivated the imagination of the populace.

And once again with us this week, one of our great guests on True Crime Tuesday,

reoccurring friend of the show, because boy, does he have a lot of stories to tell.

Former FBI agent Doug Coons.

And now Doug spends a lot of his time working independently on various cases across the country.

And today's going to be with us to talk about a case, Casey.

He just testified in.

It is the very well publicized cold case murder trial of Nicole Rice from 2007 in Minot, North Dakota.

Doug Coons joins us now. Doug Coons, hello. Hi, thanks for having me. All right. So take us back,

just very high level. Give us a little bit of background on this case before we talk about your

testimony, the Nicole Rice murder in My Not North Dakota in 2007. Sure. Yeah, this was 2007.

An 18-year-old woman was killed in her apartment and lengthy investigation. No one was ever

charged. There were a handful of suspects.

One of those cold crime shows called Cold Justice came back, I think in 2022 and did a special on it,

convinced the prosecutor that they did have a case.

Nicole was charged, and shortly thereafter the defense attorney

hired me to take a look at the case and I honestly just didn't quite get it and provided my

findings and ultimately a few weeks ago testified in the court trial.
