Casey, it's that time.

It is True Crime Tuesday when we take a look at some infamous, well, crime that has happened.

And today, we're going to deal with something that was local in 1977.

Yeah, and to help us tell the story, our old pal, you know him in many years.

There's the news director here at WIBC, now a freelance journalist extraordinaire.

The great Chris Davis joins us on the WIBC hotline.

All right, Chris, tell us the story of Marjorie Jackson.

This one was back in the 1930s when Chester Jackson, Marjorie's husband,

owned a grocery store chain called the Standard Grocery Company.

Now, he got rich, as a lot of people did,

because this was a time when grocery stores were kind of coming into their own

with freezers and air conditioning and all of that technology that made fresh foods available for, you know, lots more people than they could be before.

And so he was one of the people who took advantage of that and made a killing.
