Forgot what I was doing there for a minute. Sorry, intro's are hard. That's why you do it.

It's okay. One day we'll need to tell the story of why you only do the entrance.

We'll get there someday. Maybe that'll be a Patreon story. But for now we have a

great case true crime to go crime story in 10 minutes or less. Get us rolling.

Yeah, man. This is an awesome case. It's a tragic and sad, but let's go ahead and start.

We're going to go back to August 23rd, 1972. So on this day there's a couple trying to

drive through the forest in rural Washington and they're trying to find a place to pull over and

and just have a good conversation. You picking up what I'm putting down. I got you.

All right, so they're not really intending to talk, but on their drive they notice that there's

a tree like a log is in the middle of the road so they really can't drive past it. They get out.

They try to move it, but they notice that 15 feet beyond the tree. There's a young woman laying

on her back. She's dressed only in her underwear, a pair of knee-high socks and boots and nothing

else. Her other clothing is there, but it's scattered around the area. Now they see a wound to

the side of this woman's head. And surprisingly, she's actually breathing, but she is in bad shape.

She's not able to talk. The couple put her in the passenger seat of their car. The lady that's

on the trip holds the lady's head up so that she can continue to breathe. Sadly, soon after they

arrived at the hospital, she's pronounced dead. One heroic effort, though, to get out and to

take her to the hospital. They didn't wait around to see what happened. Kudos to that couple.

Now, police had to find out who this young woman was and who was responsible for her death.
