1974 when I was a whopping four years old also the day before my birthday. But on this day in 1974, a group of men and women

armed with guns abducted Patty Hearst from her home in Berkeley, California. It was soon

discovered that Hearst was taken by the Sybeneese Liberation Army, or SLA for short.

The group had already taken credit for shooting two Oakland school officials in their goal to destroy the capitalist state.

The SLA reported that Hearst had joined their calls and she was later spotted wielding a gun during a bank robbery, right?

Everybody knows about the Patty Hurst story where she ended up falling in love with her captors and taking on their calls and all that.

But how did that end for you, right?

So that is this day in crime a long-ass time ago, 40, 56, 50, 52 years ago.
