we wanted to dive into the word right after confession because there is such a close tie between

Matthew 4, 1 through 11, and the battles that every one of us fight against sin in the world,

battles with temptation that you and I are fighting now even at this moment.

So I want to read this text, a story that may be familiar to some of us, but I'm convinced a story whose meaning I think we're in danger of

missing so not long ago I received a book that was written by a friend of mine

from Southern seminary Russell Moore.

The book's title was tempted and tried.
