Hi everyone, welcome to Just Trish. Before we get to this show, we just wanted to put a disclaimer,

seeing that our hearts are with everyone in support of all the immigrants here in Los Angeles.

It's a very scary time right now in our city, and we are just sending all of our thoughts,

and we have a lot of emotion going on in here today, and we were talking about it before the show and

obviously it doesn't feel right to just get into the show without acknowledging this devastation

that's happening, this tragedy and just this, it feels, it feels surreal. It feels like an

unreal world we're living in and I don't have the words obviously to talk about these things. It's just really, really hard. We were talking about the words, obviously, to talk about these things.

It's just really, really hard.

We were talking about it together.

Oscar is obviously more articulate than me about these things.

So, yeah, we're just expressing our emotions and how we're feeling today.

And it's heavy.

It's a heavy thing.

Yes.

If the vibe is a little off, me especially, like, as like a second generation Latino immigrant,

my Latino ancestry has always been very, very important to me growing up, even though I am like

considered a white Latino, obviously, and I recognize that, but like culturally, you know, being Cuban,

being Peruvian has always been such a big part of my life.

I've learned about being an immigrant very, very early on in my childhood from my grandparents.

And I grew up in a town that's 55% Latino.

So, yeah, it's very heavy on my heart.

But I'm really excited because I kind of need a distraction.
