Hey everybody and welcome back to Tripod.

Today I'm on with my friend Majeed Betizadette, and today we're going to talk a little bit about low-level lighting, which seems to be the new phrase du jour, but it's really just light painting but just kind of along the landscape just

usually close to you usually when people are talking about low-level lighting as

opposed to light painting we're talking about like kind of setting up a light

that feels more naturally placed.

And it's just providing just this little kiss of lighting across the landscape while you're

shooting night photography.

So, Mejeed, I usually don't see a ton of night photography from you?

Yeah, I'll do it here and there and really the kind of the window is tight anyway for when you can do night photography like when the best part of the Milky

way is showing and that's one of the and that's usually while you're sleeping.

Yeah, definitely. And a lot of elements have to line up, so it's ideal of it's

moonless, so it's really dark, you have to be away from the city. You know, there's a

lot of variables to get nice and

bright Milky Way and then the position of the Milky Way in the sky. So I only

probably get a few opportunities a year. Uh-huh. So it's one of those things where you have to keep your skills kind of sharp or your photos won't be.

Right into that. In fact, I laugh but it's a little bit painful because we, last time
