So the kickoff of Donald Trump's civil fraud trial in New York today was chock full of the kind of bluster that we've all come to expect from the former president.

Not really a big surprise.

But he can huff and puff all he wants.

The thing is, in this case, Trump's Day of Reckoning has already come. The judge has already found him liable of fraud. He's already decided to revoke Trump's business licenses.

And that's a massive blow to Trump's image of the self-made billionaire and real estate guru that

he's presented himself as for decades. While his bravado may work in the court of public opinion,

we've seen that play out a little bit in the Republican primary. It doesn't work in a court of law

in the same way. As the lawyer for New York's attorney general said today, quote, while it may be

one thing to exaggerate for Forbes magazine, you cannot do it while conducting business in the state

of New York, nor should you be able to.
