Before I go into the message, I do want to make a statement as a church,

and Charlie Kirk, who was 31 years of age founded a turning

point USA in 2012 is actually one of the most influential student movements in the United States

that was pivotal in bringing a lot of younger men and younger people to Christian faith.

And on September 10th, which is a day before September 11th, he was assassinated

while teaching in preaching, debating in the Utah University.

So this happened just a few days ago. A lot of us are with

grieve heavy hearts come to church today. There was a vigil yesterday in Richland and

Queensgate by the Starlink restaurant. And so I want to just take a few moments and

address this why this feels heavy, though

people die every single day.

People die for Christ every single day.

But this thing, what happened to Charlie, hit us home.

Now, I understand some pastors and leaders today are going to bury their head in the sand

and just pretend this didn't happen

when 85% to 90% of their congregation is heavy with that grief.

We are not that church and we are not afraid.

Not only to talk about it, we're not afraid to support, celebrate and honor the life of our brother who stood for truth, who preached the good

news unapologetically. And we will not say, oh, but we didn't agree with everything and all
