So what do we get into today?

We kicked off talking about potential changes to the sophisticated investor requirements

and the impact that might have on the ecosystem.

We also discussed some of the international comparisons in the UK and the US.

Yeah, it's going to be interesting to see how that plays out, so we gave a few ideas there.

We then unpacked an article, headlined local founders says VCs are undermining the Australian

startup sector. And given we have VC in our title, we gave our thoughts on what we thought was right from that and what we thought was wrong.

And that led into a bit of a discussion about behavioural patterns and the drama triangle and insights into ourselves a little bit amongst that as well.

Maybe a bit too much.

And then we segued in to discuss the recent news of Kiki, the New Zealand-funded

startup that's launched in New York. Yeah, wild, wild story there. Yeah, and then a brief touch on

AI in BC and the gut feel we use and how that might be replaced by AI one day.

And one of the things we discuss is we believe as a firm that the riches are in the

niches as the US accent would say and whether that's going to be able to help find niching

opportunities. We then expanded that to say actually the short-term riches are in the niches because

as koala has demonstrated that you can grow and you can get great revenue and you can develop a good

brand but is that actually durable and can you actually make money out of it? We added some comments

from Hamilton Helmers Seven Powers and how we believe that fits into the advice we give startup.

And I think the overlying theme for the episode was, don't get bitter, get better.
