It's getting more and more possible to build a great business that's not a venture business.

And what you've built is built so quickly, which is awesome on one hand. But on another hand, if you can

build it that quickly, so can someone else. And so your competitive landscape, if you find a great

niche, is actually going to be bigger than you think. And so I'm just seeing more and more founders

talking to us. We're actually maybe just build a great business. Like, why the hell do you

need venture capitalists riding the shit out of you?

Where you could build a great little business that produces this thing called profit,

I can actually produce you cash.

And then you can go and buy things and you can have holidays

and you can have a much better life than the poor bugger on the rat wheel that has a very low statistical

chance of being successful.

But after chatting today, I think it ties back to like what is the most important thing

that has to be done and let's say it is growing revenue.

So then anything we do has to tie back to that and then it makes sense.

Because otherwise, like, I'm getting caught in this loop exactly like you guys.

Like, we're just chasing the same thing. And it feels like a rat. Like, we're just going

forwards and back.

As a founder, you, that constant frustration of we're not moving fast enough, we're not doing

enough, looking over at what others are doing and the rate they're doing it at, what their head count is in comparison to yours.

So I understand that entrepreneurial energy.

The reaction is not surprising though for the employees given what's happening atlasian and elsewhere. So I feel like the odd one out.
