So on Friday, Judge Alien Cannon announced that the trial in the classified documents case is set to take place on May 20th of next year.

If you just did a little bit of math there, you're right.

That falls smack in the middle of the heat of the 2024 presidential campaign, which means

that Trump could already be the presumptive nominee by the time he goes to trial.

Not only that, it means he could be convicted, even sentenced before election day. This raises

all sorts of questions, and frankly, there are questions that we as a country have never

had to grapple with before. We're going to try to dig into some of those today on the show.

Also this week, Special Counsel Jack Smith informed Trump that he is a target in the January 6th investigation.

And I just want to have a sidebar on that for a moment because I'm guilty of this too.
