Summary

On Friday, on the fifth day of deliberation, the jury in the trial of Jeronimo Yanez reached a verdict: Not guilty on all counts. We called reporter Riham Feshir, at the courthouse, in the minutes after the verdict was announced.

1:15.8	Wednesday after they were unable to reach a verdict, and the judge sent them back to
1:20.0	keep deliberating. Today is Friday. About an hour ago our reporters
1:25.0	Rehamfashir and John Collins got the alert that the jury had reached its
1:28.3	verdict. They headed to the courtroom on the eighth floor of the Ramsey County
1:31.6	courthouse and they're still over there right now
1:34.4	Our producer Tracy Mumford is live on the air right now, so I caught up with Reham after the verdict was read
1:40.3	A jury found officer Helena Molyylana not guilty on all three counts.
1:46.6	The second-degree manslaughter charged and the two felony firearms charges that he was charged
1:52.2	with for endangering Simon Reynolds and Philando Castile.
1:55.0	Okay, so what was the reaction in the courtroom?
2:00.0	The judge initially said that no one was allowed to leave the courtroom until he adjourned, but Philando Kefel's mother, Valerie Kestel, did not wait for that.
2:10.7	As soon as she heard the not guilty on the third count she got up
2:14.8	visibly upset and yelling profanity and she didn't and she just walked out of
2:20.1	the courtroom the deputies could not stop her from walking out and the rest of the family was crying and visibly shaken.
