0:10.9	I think we hit about five or six centuries back when we were doing them in earnest.
0:14.9	Well, it's time to pick it up again.
0:16.6	This time we are going to do trending in the third century.
0:20.6	So if you were live during the 200s, what would people be talking about and what would be

0:27.5	Well, in terms of church history, it was a time of heresies.
0:31.3	One of the heresies that was trending was Manachism.
0:35.9	Mani was born in 216 in what is modern day Iraq.
0:40.5	He died in 274 in modern day Iran.
0:45.2	His religion or heresy involved the secret, the mysterious.
0:50.8	It was very much like Nosticism.
0:54.0	There was a lot of dualism in it, good versus evil, light versus darkness.
0:59.6	It's a combination of Judaism, of little Christianity mixed in, Buddhism, Hinduism,
1:06.1	Zoroastrianism and Plato.
1:08.5	Mix it all together and you get Manachism.
1:11.6	His followers are called Manachies or Manachians and the religion or the heresy is called Manachism.
1:20.4	It is going to pop up in the next centuries and it is even for time going to capture the
1:25.2	attention of a gustan.
1:27.5	Well, Christological heresies also abounded that Ebionites, they denied Jesus's deity.
1:35.2	There was also the heresy of adoptionism.
