It's the Ancients on History Hit.

I'm Tristan Hughes your host and in today's podcast, well we've now recorded more than

200 episodes of the Ancients.

We've released some 230 episodes.

It's incredible when you think of that.

But in our long Ancients history, we have not yet done a podcast all about Tutankhamu.

And that's going to change kind of today because in this episode, I'm very excited about

this one.

We're talking about a select number of objects that were discovered alongside the Tomb of

Tutankhamu almost a hundred years ago.

Now when they discovered Tutankhamu's Tomb in the Valley of the Kings, alongside Tutankhamu

in Sarcophagus, there was also thousands of incredible objects.

And with me to talk through a handful of some of the most striking, most interesting

objects and what information they can reveal about ancient Egyptians, society, their culture,

the extent of their geographic knowledge, warfare, family, social life, etc, etc.

I was delighted a couple of months ago to interview Professor Toby Wilkinson at Chalk Valley

History Festival.
