Every time I hold a baby in my hands to affirm their parents' covenant with God,

who are saying in effect that we will bring our child to know God, to trust God, to walk with God,

I cannot help but think about their future.

Every time that I meet with parents, spend an hour talking about what the

covenant means and how God is going to work and child's life, child's future, I become thinking

about that future. It's not a secret that I'm deeply concerned about the next generation.

You cannot be around me for any length of time without knowing that and sensing that.

When I allow the flesh, I allow the flesh on occasions to operate in me and my heart.

Praise God doesn't last for very long.

And I become worried.

I do worry about the future of those precious ones.

As I look at the fast-growing hostility toward the Christian faith,

when I see the relentless attack on Christian families and Christian values,

when I focus on this diabolical attacks on our children

by those in power and authority, when I experience by the blatant schemes by some in government

to break down our families, I have to confess to you, I become discouraged.

But as I said, thank God, it doesn't last for very long. It doesn't last for very long.

Because very quickly, the Holy Spirit helps me reflect back in my own life when I should have been aborted, but God had the last

word. Where I grew up the first 18 years of my life in a culture and a society that is totally

hostile to the Christian faith and to Christians. When God's hand supernaturally

intervened again and again to rescue me, then I become encouraged and lifted up. I began to praise

God for the fact that he is not threatened by the hostility toward our children, and the
