Welcome to our daily Rosary meditation. Let's begin in the name of the Father and

the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let's call to mind all those we've

promised to pray for. Over and over again in the gospel, Jesus urges his followers to take care of the poor, to give to them generously.

One of the most vivid passages is in Matthew chapter 25 when he gives the parable of the

sheep and the goats and states that those who give to the poor will be rewarded because in giving to the poor,

they were actually giving to Jesus.

And correspondingly, those who don't give to the poor will put their own salvation at risk

because they were actually ignoring Jesus the whole time.

So here's an initial question to ask yourself.

As we reflect on the gospel call to give to the poor,

are you giving enough money to Jesus? Our Father who art in heaven,

hallow would be your name, thy kingdom come,

Give us to stay our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against

us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil

Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for a sinner, is known at the hour of our death,
