My first trip to New York City was booked for September 13, 2001, just two days after the tragic events of September the 11th.

As you can imagine, our plans were thrown into disarray, and family and friends were adamant that we should postpone our visit.

But after re-booking our flights, we made our way to New York City two weeks later.

It was during this trip that I discovered the hidden gem that is the Conservatory Gardens

within the world-famous Central Park. It was a peaceful haven that felt like a comforting

bomb to a city in recovery. Nestled in the northeastern corner of Central Park, the conservatory gardens is a lush,

six-acre oasis that offers a stark yet welcome contrast to the bustling cityscape.

It's an area that's often overlooked by the casual parkgoer, but for those who seek

tranquility and beauty, it's a paradise.
