All right, so we have a bunch of new and significant updates from the last 24 hours about the new coronavirus, so let's break it down.

First of all, most travel from Europe to the US is about to be put on hold for a month

in the hopes of stopping the spread of COVID-19.

President Trump announced the new 30-day restriction in a live address

to the nation yesterday from the Oval Office.

The restrictions do not apply to Britain,

and to be clear, reports now say the travel ban also

does not apply to Americans as long as they undergo screening when they get back to the US.

The new Europe travel ban goes into effect this Friday.

And another big update, the World Health Organization, or WHO, is now officially calling the

coronavirus a pandemic. A pandemic means the worldwide spread of a new disease. But there's no clearly defined

requirements or strict definition beyond that.

It's really up to the WHO to make the call and they do try to use the term sparingly.

Specifically in the US, there are some new estimates.
