I think that the holidays feel like frozen noses. I love walking with the dog for long periods of time.

Hopefully it's snowing and you've got to wrap up warm. So I think a frozen nose is

then sweaty armpits because like you're wrapped up so warm but then you're climbing hamps

and heath and you get to the top and you're like and then you can see the breath

but then your nose is still freezing to touch.

Welcome to the News and Why It Matters. I am Sarah Gonzalez and you are in for a real treat

because it is Patton stew Thursday. We've got stew burger, host of stew does America and Pat Gray

host of Pat Gray unleashed. Here at the table with me to dissect the the news of the day and if the

off-air conversation was any indication it's going to be quite a day. So I want to get to

earlier this week we were discussing of course Elon Musk in the news left and right but he had a

signal that he was willing to go to war he said with Apple after they largely stopped advertising

on Twitter and there were reports that they were going to boot the Twitter app from the App Store

on iTunes. So yesterday Elon met with Apple CEO Tim Cook at Apple's headquarters and he said

that they resolved the conflict he tweeted out later on. Good conversation among other things we

resolved the misunderstanding about Twitter potentially being removed from the App Store.

Tim was clear that Apple never considered doing so but he's not totally in the clear yet because

the European Union has threatened to ban Twitter if it doesn't comply with a checklist of rules

in line with the the Blox New Digital Services Act which aims to increase democratic control
