Turn please to Romans 12th chapter this evening.

Romans chapter 12.

We've been on a series for some weeks entitled Transformed.

Transformed.

And our text is right here in Romans, the 12th chapter, verse 1. Romans 12 and 1,

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies

a living sacrifice, wholly acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service, and be not conformed to this world,

but be transformed.

Now here's something he's telling us, don't let happen, and in contrast, something that can happen.

Don't be conformed don't be conformed but be

transformed

anytime the Lord tells you

the word tells you don't do this

don't just let it go in one ear and out the other

if it wasn't an issue he wouldn't have told you.

Right?

By the mere fact of him bringing it up and cautioning us and alerting us and telling us don't let this happen means it's going to be a temptation.

It's going to be an issue.

But the good news is if he tells you don't do it, you know you have the power not to do it.

Don't be conformed to this world.

There are pressures brought about by the God of this world, the enemy, through all kind of people and organizations and situations

and situations and social pressures and economic pressures and political pressures
