Summary

Welcome to the newest Wednesday Podcast! On Wednesdays, I get to talk with members of the Organize 365 community as they share the challenges, progress, missteps, and triumphs along their organizing journey. You can see and hear transformation in action. I look forward to helping YOU get Organized!

This week, I have an extra special treat for you! By popular request, today's transformation is featuring Lorie and her dad JB. So many of you have enjoyed watching Lorie help her 92-year-old dad declutter his home and get started with his Sunday Basket® habit. They are both great storytellers and have so many life lessons to share. I hope you enjoy their story as much as I do!

Lorie has been a previous guest when she shared her own Wednesday Transformation and she also shared how she adapted to teaching from home during the pandemic.

I am grateful that you are reaching out to share your stories and progress with me and with the Organize 365 community. If you are ready to share your story with us, please apply at https://organize365.com/wednesday

expert, and motivational speaker, Lisa Woodruff. This podcast will help you embrace progress

0:18.8

over perfection and create lasting, functional organizing in your home. I have so much to share

0:25.3

with you. So let's get started. Oh my goodness, I have such a treat for you on the Wednesday

0:33.2

podcast today. Laurie is here with her dad, JB. And I just said to JB, he is quite the

0:41.0

fan club here in organized 365. It's hard for him to believe. And they're mostly women,

0:46.6

JB. They're all cheering you on in your Sunday basket and watching what you're doing

0:51.8

every week. So I'm really excited to have this conversation with you today. Thank you. Thank you.

0:59.2

So I believe that was Laurie that energies you to organize 365. But tell me how did you first

1:07.2

become aware of this Sunday basket organizing what Laurie was doing and when did you become

1:13.4

interested in participating? Well, Laurie is a teacher and teachers don't give up very easy.

1:22.4

Yeah, then she becomes like a police officer. You're not going to get away with it unless you do it.

1:28.6

And basically, I got involved in it with Laurie or through Laurie.

1:34.1

Well, I started getting him used to putting some papers into a basket on the counter,

1:39.6

knowing I eventually wanted him to do Sunday basket. But he used to have papers spread all over

1:44.8

the kitchen table. And it was causing a lot of grief and anxiety. I didn't know what to do with them.

1:51.8

So by getting him to put them in basket, they were at least off the kitchen table where he would eat

1:57.5

with my stepmom. And then we could deal with the papers later.

2:01.6

Yes, I've lived the last 17 years married and I would find very important papers in a magazine

2:13.1

or in a book or under a pillow almost in a chair. It could be any place.

2:21.3

So if you don't mind sharing, just to give us some context for our conversation,

2:27.5

can you tell us where you live and who lives with you and how old you are?
