Today we're going to talk about do you feel stuck in the transformation process? We're going to talk about it. I'm going to give you some reasons why you as a Christian might be stuck in the transformation process. I believe it's going to really, really bless you.

My scripture is going to come from Romans 12 and 2 and it says don't copy the behavior and customs of this world. But let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.

Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good, pleasing and perfect. I really think that we are born with a deep need to be transformed by God. It's hardwired into us like a foreknowledge of us being created for a loving and transformative relationship with God.

So today I want to talk to you about the process of maybe why you could be stuck in that transformation process. I often ask on weekends when I'm preaching out and I ask people by a show of hands how many of you feel stuck and have to hold place. We'll stand, we'll put their hand up in the air and feel they feel stuck.

But as Romans 12 and 2 says don't copy the behavior and customs of this world but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

It's not about us getting our way. God is not an ATM machine. We are transformed by learning the good and pleasing will of God for us until we care more about God's God and his will being happening in our lives will stay untransformed.

Is that place of familiarity? You know what I'm saying? Is that place of like I often hear women say things like well you know my mom was married five times. I'll probably be married five times. You know alcoholism runs in my family. I'm just going to be an addict. My parents, my mom dropped out of school.

So and I dropped out of school and it's just in my DNA and we all these things like you know it's familiar to us and so we find ourselves in these places and what you some of y'all need to break up with some traditions in your family.

You know generational curses are real but generational blessings are more real because once you accept Jesus and your heart all things are passed away and he's made things new.

And so I think when you get to that place where you're stuck in that familiarity you know you insist on your will being done. You keep God in a box.

You wonder how come you take 12 steps ahead at 12 steps forward and 20 steps back. You know a lot of you need to pay attention to what's coming out of your mouth because the Bible says that life and death are in the power of our words.

And so often our life looks like what's coming out of our mouth. And so you know you're saying well this is this is this is all I've ever known.

This is just where I'm going to be for the rest of my life. No it's not. You can break those generational curses and some of you need to break it off you.

So your children don't repeat the same cycles you have. You know with my children alcoholism runs in our blood.

And you know I I was determined to break that mess off my sons my sons are not going to struggle with addiction just because we struggled with addiction.

No I broke that mess off of me you hear me I broke it off of his bloodline you know I look even at his father's family and they've lost something with the boys in that family where they've lost.

You know he lost a cousin at 20 something years old to alcoholism.

Stros is of the liver and his father that my boy's father struggles with alcoholism and and I start I broke that mess off of my children.

I was like absolutely nice on my blood on my side of the family too. My children are not going to have to deal with it because I know how to open my mouth and begin to decree and declare over my children.
