Now, we have a very special episode and a return of the podcast and a return of Patrick Montgomery on the channel, who is the ex-head of scouting at Liverpool for eight years. And today we're here to decipher all of the best January transfer rumours.

Okay, welcome back to the channel for people who are watching this.

It's probably going to go out on the 1st of January, so happy new year and hope

everyone's had a good time off.

We're recording this ahead of time, and we're going to go through all of the biggest, at

the time of recording January transfer windows.

We're going to have Patrick analyze them from a technical tactical standpoint,

go through their strengths and weaknesses,

and where they may see fit at their specific clubs.

And we're going to kickstart this.

Obviously, welcome back, Patrick, who were brilliant on the last podcast

and obviously the bits in between on the board.

So something a bit different today,

and obviously it's a return for the podcast and people have been keen for the longer form pieces of content.

So yeah, we're going to go through every single one of them.

And I think fitting for me, I think anyway, is to start with Liverpool's ideas

going into the January transfer window. Now, at the time of recording,

obviously they are in for Antoine Semenio and presumably going to go back in for Mark Gei.

Now, right now I'd like to focus on Mark Gei because for me, it does feel like Liverpool at

the moment need defensive depth.

Obviously, the amount of injuries to their backline is now tallying up,

and they've really only got Van Dyke and Canarte.
