First, she speaks to HIV health equity leader Tori Cooper about her decades of advocacy for more inclusive and effective policy. Next, Imara is joined by actor and business owner Ja’Mel Ashely Ware who shares his approach to increasing visibility for HIV-positive transmasc people and fighting stigma through entrepreneurial education.

| 0:24.1 | Of course, this year's Thanksgiving was much harder for so many in our community because of the attack just days before on the Club Q nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado. |
| 0:38.3 | I know that for many of you, it brought up traumatic experiences that you've been through. |
| 0:44.3 | Of course, the fact that two out of the five victims were trans also adds to the stress and the pain and the anguish that so many people are feeling. |

| 0:59.4 | And I hope that you all are doing whatever you need to do to take care of yourselves. |

| 1:47.3 | continues to be a relevant topic for the world, our country, and for our community. |
| 1:54.1 | There are 1.2 million people living with HIV AIDS in the United States, |
| 1:59.5 | and more than 1 out of 10 don't know it. |
| 2:03.1 | With respect to trans people, trans women are 49 times more likely to be HIV positive than the general population, |
| 2:10.8 | but black trans women having the highest rates of HIV AIDS positivity at nearly one out of four. |
| 2:19.0 | And we have to remember that HIV AIDS has killed more than 35 million people worldwide. |
