Hello there, this is Kimberly Wilson, recording from Washington, D.C., and welcome to the

410th edition of Tranquility DeJure. For those of you stateside, I hope you had a phenomenal

Thanksgiving weekend and are acclimating back to reality. I pulled together a jazzy French

cafe playlist on eight tracks. And I'll put a link to that in the show notes. So I thought,

I'll bet people could use a little inspiration and just a little shift

because the day after a holiday weekend can always be a bit shocking to the system.

So I have a little playlist that I hope might be inspirational for you

and especially since we're chatting with the lovely Nicholas

Reynolds, who is just a dear, dear friend, about his book that came out this spring called

Rider, Sailor, Soldier, Spy, Ernest Hemingway's Secret Adventures, 1935 to 1961. We also talk about his longtime love of Hemingway, and as you will see,

in the show notes, he actually looks a bit like Hemingway, the process of writing. And he talks

about how he got started actually in really kind of tapping into and enjoying the writing process in writing lab,

one of the writing labs that we do at Trincl Space and we were in a writing group together for a

couple of years. And also yoga. He's a devoted yogi at Trinkel Space in Arlington. And we'll also

talk about the ways in which yoga has had an influence

on him as a writer and really as a human being. He's one of the nicest people you'll meet.

Now before we hear from Nick, I wanted to mention a few things. One is that Penning in Paris is on

going to be happening in July in Paris. In addition to our retreat, there's actually the Hemingway

Society's conference.
