Hannah. I recently had the pleasure of going and seeing Dirty Dancing on the big screen for the first time.

This is a movie I know by heart.

It is tattooed onto my soul.

And I was watching it and I thought what I always thought,

which is like, God, these people are gorgeous.

I wish I was as cute as Jennifer Gray.

I want to press my cheek up against Patrick Squisie's back

for the rest of my life.

But this was the first time at 40 years old

that I was like, oh my God, the class politics of this movie are so

interesting and like what this movie says about like being an artist and how

hard that is is so interesting and like baby wanting to be in the Peace Corps and I realize

that for 40 years I've been watching movies as a fan and just like have not been

bringing a critical eye to movies.

Man, you should consider hanging out

with somebody who only knows how to read things critically.
