where we analyze the screenplays of great films and discuss the techniques they used to tell their stories.

Now, with this podcast, we're moving beyond the screenplay.

The lessons from the screenplay team and I will be doing deeper dives into the storytelling of each film we talk about on the channel.

I think we as film nerds sort of come back to the same movies over and over again.

And I was like, I don't get to talk about this movie with anybody, but it's such smart writing.

The first 10 minutes have a lot of really useful techniques.

It's like an overture. Here's everything the movie's going to be, but just in little snippets. We'll also be chatting with guests. From other YouTube filmmakers to the screenwriters and directors behind the films we're discussing. As a producer, people would often send me their scripts and ask for my feedback. If anyone is going to read your script, that is a sacred, valuable thing that they're doing for you.

You should not just be listening to them, but you should be mining them.

And beyond that, who knows?
