Today's show is the second edition of our biggest

surprises from the Trail episode where we hear from our PCT hikers and Rabbit on

the CDT. So without any unnecessary delay let's get right into the episode. Here it is. Hey guys this is Kate now with the trail name Afternoon Delight and I am at

Whitewater Preserve mile to 18.5 at this awesome hiker oasis.

And I'm sitting here with Alyssa from Asheville, North Carolina,

and Rocket Arse from Gainesville, Florida and we're here to talk

about what surprise us most on the trail thus far. So this is probably day anywhere from like 15 to 20 for a lot of

people and I'll go first I'm thinking you know for me the biggest thing is like how green the desert is I don't know if you

guys feel that way but I was picturing like sand dunes and no water. And it is like that sometimes.

Yeah, there's a lot of no water.

Right.

Yeah.

Aside from that, yeah.

I mean where we are now, it's very, it feels like, it is. you would not imagine this is the desert at all no

there's like trees and I think there's different sections but that's a big one

for me I just didn't expect it to be. It's beautiful though like I didn't realize this.

But in all the flowers.

Yeah.

Colorable flowers. It's like blooming.

Yeah.
