It's Thursday, February 15. It's PFT live. Miles Simmons is joining me today and obviously the NFL world, the sports world, and the world at large at least in our country. the Kansas City, a mass shooting that left one dead and more than 20 injured.

A lot of the injuries not serious.

Psychological injuries, I think, far more widespread.

That was one of the first things that struck me about this.

Although every mass shooting is terrible in its own uniquely... about this is one

is one that while fortunately the damage to human life

fortunately the damage to human life wasn't on the same magnitude that we've seen elsewhere.

The damage to human psyche is far more widespread because there were far more people who were terrorized by the

incident even though initial indications are it was not an act of terrorism.

We're going to talk about that for a little while.

Then we're going to try to do what we always do,

which is provide you with information

and maybe a little bit of entertainment,

a little bit of diversion from the heavier stories of the day. We're fortunate that we

cover our sport miles that rarely is part of the heavier stories of the day,

but here we are.

Here we are, Mike, and, you know, here we are again saying the same things, right?

When will enough be enough?

And, you know, I have people who were very, very close to me at that parade yesterday, right, at that rally.

And some of them work for the chiefs. Some of them live in Kansas City and where there is fans.

And I have been very fortunate to be one of probably the few Americans who has not been

directly touched by a senseless act of gun violence, but I got damn close yesterday.
