spirits. Now we've, we've crossed each other. We're friends, but he kind of started out

in the fishing industry, kind of, kind of how I did. And he's always been in the field.

And he, he's one of those, those guys that craves it. Like he craves the hunting, he craves

the fishing. And he's just telling me that running trap lines, that's tough work.

Yeah, it is that, you know, from the time that I was a little kid, that's all I wanted

to do is to be outside of a hunting position. You know, I just, I happen to have been a

pretty good English student and the writing part of it came naturally to me and I like

the storytelling part of it. But then honestly, man, like that was just a vehicle for me

to make a living hunting position. You know, I like, I went to journalism school. I had

a minor in creative writing, but I never wanted to be like the next great novelist or anything

like that. Man, I just, I just wanted to get a paycheck and be out of the fishing position.

Just like that to this day. Yep. Yep. It's like that to this day. And, you know, that's,

um, I don't know if it's, I guess that approach has been pretty good to me in my career.

I did start out on the, on the fish inside of the business back in the day working for

SLW outdoors is one of the editors of their magazines that traveled to a lot of fish

in tournaments. A lot of bad fish and a lot of walleye fish and red fish and back in those days.

And I love the fish, but like, it's something to do when they were hunting season. Not yet.
