| 0:46.4 | psychology background at Claremont. And I really wanted to dig into how that degree and has proved useful in identifying behavioral patterns when you're investing or trading. |
| 1:00.0 | So the short version of that long story is that I actually started in economics as an undergrad thinking that that was the pathway to some career in business. |

| 1:18.7 | so we moved around a lot and I didn't really have a business role model in my father so I went off to |
| 1:30.0 | school and started studying economics. |
| 1:33.4 | But one of my first professors, I vividly remember saying, |

| 1:41.0 | One of the fundamentals of economic theory. |
| 1:45.0 | But I didn't know any better. I scratched my head and said, |
| 1:47.5 | wow, I don't know who this guy hangs out with, but all I see around me |
| 1:51.0 | are people going crazy. I ended up taking an elective class in the psychology department and said, |
| 1:59.1 | this is much more interesting. It was a class in organizational behavior. And so I switched majors, graduated with a psychology degree, and you know, later the whole field of behavioral economics developed, and it kind of fit right in with what I had already known, and I've been adding to it ever since. |
