All right, official, happy new year to all of you, getting back in the swing of things, going back to work,

and thought we give you a little podcast to listen to on your, what might be your first commute

of the new year. But John did not save his travel for this week. You've already been around

quite a bit. Where were you this weekend? So I'm in Los Angeles for four games in three days.

Got a doubleheader at Staples that I'm going to go to right after we

record this. But watch the Lakers blow away the Pelicans in a pretty impressive performance on

Friday. And then shockingly, this might be the single most shocking outcome in the league the

entire year. Memphis 140 at Clippers 114. Watch Jay Crowder kick the shit out of Kauai Leonard, which I would not have

ever believed if I had not witnessed it with my own eyes. Yeah, that's incredible. Yeah. And I mean,

how are you feeling about the Clippers now, having seen them in person, five and five in their last

10 Montrose Herald saying after the game that, no, you need to get it out of your head.

We're not that good of a team right now.

Do you agree with that?

I think there are elements of truth in that.

I mean, this team was never, I think the intention even coming into the season was never that they were going to be a regular

season juggernaut, right? That they were going to manage the minutes of Kauai Leonard and Paul

George. Some of their second line guys were okay, but they're not great players. So that, and they were

just going to take whatever playoff seat they got and then take their chances with Kauai Leonard and

Paul George.

Now, they're looking at a situation where they could end up sixth, though, which I think is a little lower than they probably would have expected. And I do think they probably need one more kind

of high-level guy as opposed to they're playing a lot of these minutes now with some of these,
