We've got Lakers Hornets tonight closing out the road trip. Can the Lakers get the job done?

They're a heavy favorite in this one. But road trip, the last game, it's always a trap game.

That's the way it goes. Six-game road trip for the Lakers

coming to a conclusion so far, so good for the Lakers. They beat the Warriors, they beat the Celtics,

beat somehow, beat the Knicks, too, and then lost to the Hawks and the Rockets. Go figure.

Right now, the three and two on the trip, beat the Hornets and you'll go 4 and 2,

which was our goal coming into the road trip. So we would certainly take that. We'll see if the Lakers can get that done tonight. I'm not going to talk a ton about that game. Again, I'm not going to talk too much about that on today's show because we also have a lot else going on. And frankly, it's the Hornets. I will have a dear Darwin out tomorrow. I'll break down some of my key points for the game,

but the bottom line,

the Lakers,

I mean, just just get out there and take care

of business. You have to have a business-like approach to this game. Are you really going to get

excited about playing the Hornets? No, it's not like if you're playing Boston on national

TV or the Knicks going to Madison

Square Garden playing on national TV there or playing Steph Curry, the Golden State Warriors.

You're not going to get up for this game like those games.

We know that, but you also can't lose it.

And this Lakers team has been so Jekyll and Hyde this season.

Again, they lost to the Hawks, lost to the Rockets. We've seen them beat good teams, lose to bad teams. You never know what you're going to get. And this being a trap game, my only concern is that the Lakers, they show up. They need to put forth 90% effort to make sure they win this game. They show up, they put up 70% effort or something like that. They could accidentally walk away with a loss.
