We're about 30 minutes away from the NHL trade deadline coming to a close.

The cap struck early, getting first Carl Haglin and Nick Jensen and incorporating them both into their lineup over the last couple of games.

Haglans played two games. Jensen now won in a 6-5 win over the Rangers on Sunday afternoon.

Any more in store?

Well, I guess we'll find out over the next 30 minutes or so as the Caps try and bolster their lineup and fill some holes that they perceive and take another run at a Stanley Cup.

this is fantastic. This is like what Twitter was made for because I can't stay off my phone because it seems like every couple of minutes, either a rumor or trade is happening.

Well, there's so many rumors and there's some guys that are responsible for all of them. They throw enough of it at the wall.

They'll be right at least one time when they mention every player on a team. But, you know, this is normally a time of year. In the past, they've had,

I think the last five years, they've averaged 20 trades per trade deadline show. Some have

been duds. I think it was like eight or nine years ago. I was here all day long, and it was

the worst trade deadline day ever. And it was just awful. Just suck the life out of, you know,

the whole atmosphere of these things. I love trade dead. That deadline day. I love seeing all the players move around. I think the NHL should not let teams make any trades the two weeks prior until today. So there's a lot more going on with it. I don't know if the GMs would sign on. It is a blast. You know, and the caps, they would have had to hold off on Hagelin. They would have had to hold off on Jensen. Maybe the price of rice would have went up. Maybe it wouldn't have, and they still would have got their two guys. But there were so many leaks and there are certain teams that you can't deal with because they have zero confidentiality, but I still think it's a great day, it's a fun day, and I'd hate to be one of the players that my name is rumored and has been rumored for months. You were one of those players. We didn't have Twitter back then. I never had a rumor. There was never a rumor, though. That was a thing. You just found out one day. So did you always get a message from the GM, or did you find out other times where someone else heard something? How did you find out?

How many times you traded? Five times?

Four on trade deadline day, once at the NHL draft, where I was traded to the caps.
